Holy Trinity

_

God has been worshipped for over 150 years here at Holy Trinity.

Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, we are situated in an area that grew up in the 1850s,

and still consider ourselves to be a beating heart at the centre of Watermoor.

Worship

_

Our congregation is drawn largely from within Cirencester; but many who come from further away, feel drawn to our especially friendly and welcoming worship and fellowship. The welcome at Holy Trinity is always warm, and whether you are 9 months old or 90 plus, you will find yourself at home.

We are called by God to be welcoming and prayerful people, empowered by the Holy Spirit in every part of our mission and ministry. We aim to glorify and serve God at all times, living and working for his Kingdom of justice and peace.

We are part of the Parish of Cirencester, but like the other churches in the parish we retain something special of our own. We feel especially blessed here at Holy Trinity Church, benefiting both from the support of the wider parish, but also retaining our distinctive blend of formal and informal worship.

Every Sunday there are two services, a more reflective Eucharist at 8.00am and a livelier Eucharist with hymns at 10.00am. Families are very welcome at all our services, but we also offer ‘Trinity Kids’ our Junior Church which is held during the 10am service in the hall next to the church.

Usually on the first Sunday of the month we use a shorter, more child friendly liturgy, appropriate for people of all ages. There is a mid-week Eucharist on Wednesday evenings at 7.00pm.

On the third Sunday of each month Restore at 4 gives the opportunity to take some time out to restore spiritual well-being and build a more meaningful relationship with our Saviour through contemporary music, prayer, and Bible teaching. Restore@4 is at Holy Trinity, from 4pm to 5pm.

We are fortunate to have a good pipe organ and a music group. We try to strike a balance between the old favourites and modern classics. On the first Sunday of the month our service is led by the music group who bring a slightly more energetic kind of music to the mix.

The church has strong links with Watermoor Primary school which caters for children aged between 4 and 11 years of age.
