Mothers' Union

_

Membership is open to anyone, male or female, single or married providing they have been baptised as a Christian and support our aims. With over 4 million members in 83 countries, Mothers’ Union is passionate about caring for families.

In Gloucestershire our work includes:

Away From It All Holidays (AFIA) – offers a holiday to families who wouldn’t otherwise have one.
We normally help with part or whole payment of a suitable holiday to those recommended to us.

Parenting Groups – we help to inspire parents to enjoy their children at every stage of development. We also work in several Children’s Centres

Prison work – Mothers’ Union volunteers help in Gloucestershire prisons.
Members are always ready to offer help in response to an appeal for a local need.

Mothers’ Union Covid-19 Prayer

Loving Lord,
we pray for your love and compassion to abound
as we walk though this challenging season.
We ask for wisdom for those who bear the load
of making decisions with widespread consequences.
We pray for those who are suffering with sickness
and for all who are caring for them
We ask for protection for the elderly and vulnerable
to not succumb to the risks of virus.
We pray for misinformation to be curbed
that fear may take no hold in hearts and minds.
As we exercise the good sense that you in your mercy provide
may we also approach each day in faith and peace,
trusting in the truth of your goodness towards us. Amen
